Good afternoon, readers!
I just wanted to give a quick update on what I’m doing/what I’m working on. I’ll try to do this on a weekly basis going forward, as I feel it keeps me honest and accountable to those kind enough to follow my exploits here.
First, I’ve started working on my reviews for Josiah Bancroft’s “Books of Babel” series (if you haven’t yet, please do yourselves a favor and read “Senlin Ascends”), which entails a bit of a reread of some of it for it to be fresh in my mind.
Next, I’ve had a chance to read Rob J. Hayes’ excellent “Never Die”, a revenge fantasy set in an Eastern-Mythology-themed world, and there will be a review incoming for this soon. This book was making waves at the end of 2019, and for good reason. I’ll have a review up shortly!
Lastly, I’ve finished reading my advance copy of Nick Martell’s “The Kingdom of Liars”. I didn’t know what to expect going into it, and I was pleased with the story overall; this is Martell’s debut novel, and I’m always glad to spread the word for a fellow Canadian. I will try to have the review for this one up by end of the coming week. Look at that cover too, isn’t it great?
That’s all for now! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and happy reading.
