Good morning readers! I just wanted to take the time to post a quick update. So far, I am very pleased with the reception this site has received! Thank you for taking the time to read, and to give a chance to my little passion project. You, yes you, are the best.
Coming later this week will be my review of Nicholas Eames’ “Bloody Rose”, which will leave me good and ready for Book 3 upon release. Spoilers: it is good.
I am currently reading “We Follow The Dying Light” by David Donaldson, a sci-fi/horror novel which deals with mental illness and trauma in a somewhat futuristic setting; not quite cyberpunk, but I can smell the aesthetic creeping in. More on that in the review later!
I will also be interviewing David later about his debut novel, the sequels, his process, and other oddities; this will be the start of the site’s Interviews section, so stay tuned!
Lastly, I’ll be diving back into one of my favorite series: The Books of Babel by Josiah Bancroft! I’ve been meaning to get these reviews up for some time, but I was saving it for the site launch. Josiah is furiously at work on the final book in his series (it isn’t a trilogy!), so a revisit sounds like a great idea. If you have not read these books, you are missing out.
That is all for now! Happy Thursday!
